This software will let you create stylized versions of digital photographs.

Urban Graphic 1.0 will let you create a limited flat-color effect on digital photographs. It reduces the number of colors used. All you need to do is select the number of colors to be used on the slider control in the stylish black interface. It is ideal for producing traditional screen-printed style poster illustrations, pop art pictures, cartoon effects, or even graffiti style artwork. The controls are greyed out initially, until a picture is opened in the program. While the slider control decides the number of colors (3 to 16) to be used for conversion, you could also choose a random set of colors by choosing another control. After the color reduction has been done, you could enhance the contrast of the picture if required. Auto enhancement is also available.

If you do not like the effect produced, you can always revert to the original and start all over again. The tool will handle many of the popular image formats such as JPG, PNG, GIF, TIF, PCX, BMP and TGA. The photos can be printed directly from the application. Quite often you need to rotate or flip the image before processing. This tool gives you the means of doing that through the right click menu. The degree of smoothening required is easily controlled through another slider control. If you need to create all those stylized illustrations from digital photos, this tool can save a lot of trouble. It is also easy to use.

The slider settings allow for between 3 to 16 colours in the final image, plus you can vary the amount of smoothing applied to the edges. You can also increase the contrast at the end of the conversion, or randomize the colours.
Works well on photographs (especially portraits) and 3D rendered images. Experiment with different images and see what it can do.
